TRevPAR Calculator
See how much total revenue — rooms, food and beverage and extras — each available room earns.
What TRevPAR measures
TRevPAR (total revenue per available room) spreads all the hotel's operating revenue — rooms, restaurant, bar, banquets, spa, laundry, transfers — over every room night you had available. RevPAR only looks at room revenue, so two hotels with the same RevPAR can earn very different amounts if one has a busy restaurant or banquet hall. For resorts, wedding venues and full-service hotels, TRevPAR gives a fairer picture of how hard each room is working.
Worked example
A 40-room resort in a 30-day month has 1,200 available room nights. It earns ₹27,00,000 from rooms, ₹9,50,000 from food and beverage and ₹1,80,000 from spa, laundry and transfers, all excluding GST.
- Total revenue = ₹38,30,000
- TRevPAR = ₹38,30,000 ÷ 1,200 = ₹3,192
- RevPAR = ₹27,00,000 ÷ 1,200 = ₹2,250
- Non-room share = ₹11,30,000 ÷ ₹38,30,000 = 29.5%
How to use the result
- Judge packages properly. A breakfast or MAP plan may lower the room rate on paper but raise TRevPAR. Compare both numbers before deciding.
- Watch the non-room share. If it is falling, guests may be eating outside — check menu prices, timings and in-room promotion.
- Accept the right groups. A wedding block at a lower room rate can still win on TRevPAR because of banquet spend. Our group booking quote calculator helps you price it.
- Look at profit too. Revenue is not profit; F&B carries food and staff costs. Pair TRevPAR with the GOPPAR calculator.
Common mistakes
Do not include GST collected, security deposits or advance payments for future stays. Count all rooms in inventory every day, even on slow days, so months stay comparable. For room-only metrics, use the RevPAR calculator. Track TRevPAR monthly and against the same month last year, because seasons, weddings and festivals change the revenue mix a lot through the year.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between TRevPAR and RevPAR?
RevPAR divides only room revenue by available room nights. TRevPAR divides total operating revenue, including food and beverage, banquets, spa and other income, by the same available room nights.
Should banquet and wedding revenue be included in TRevPAR?
Yes. TRevPAR includes all operating revenue of the hotel, so banquet, conference and wedding income is included. Exclude GST and advance deposits for future events.
Is a higher TRevPAR always better?
Usually, but not always. Some revenue streams carry high costs, so also track profit with GOPPAR to be sure the extra revenue is profitable.
