Compare your website rate with up to six OTAs, see who is undercutting you and get a clear list of fixes.

Up to 6 channelsParity scorePrintable report

Compare the same date, room type, meal plan, occupancy and cancellation policy on every channel. Leave a rate blank to skip that channel.

What is rate parity?

Rate parity means the same room, on the same date, with the same meal plan and cancellation policy, is sold at the same price on every channel — your own website, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia and Airbnb. When an OTA shows a lower price than your website, guests who compare book there, you pay commission on a booking you could have had directly, and your brand looks inconsistent.

This free rate parity checker compares the rates you type in. Open each channel in a private browser window, search the same date and room, note the displayed price and enter it above. The tool shows the difference in rupees and per cent, colour-codes each channel and lists what to fix.

Difference % = (Channel rate − Website rate) ÷ Website rate × 100

Why parity breaks happen

  • Channel manager mapping — a room or rate plan mapped to the wrong product, or a derived rate set with the wrong percentage.
  • Stacked promotions — loyalty discounts such as Genius, mobile-only deals and coupons applied on top of your own promotion.
  • Tax display — one channel shows the price before GST, another includes it.
  • Wholesaler leakage — net rates given to B2B partners that appear on OTAs or metasearch at a lower price.
  • Stale rates — an update that did not sync to one channel.

How to keep parity under control

  1. Check a handful of dates every week: tomorrow, the coming weekend, the next long weekend and one date 30 to 60 days out.
  2. Fix the source of the break in your channel manager or promotion settings, not only the price on one OTA.
  3. Use a small tolerance (1 to 2%) so rounding does not trigger false alarms.
  4. Win direct bookings with value, not lower rates: breakfast, an upgrade or flexible check-out for website bookers.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good rate parity tolerance?

Most hotels use 1 to 2 percent. That ignores small rounding differences while still catching real parity breaks caused by promotions, mapping errors or leakage.

Does this tool check OTA prices automatically?

No. It compares the prices you enter. Check each channel in a private browser window for the same date, room, meal plan and cancellation policy, then type the displayed rates in.

Is it a problem if an OTA is higher than my website?

It helps direct bookings, but a much higher OTA price can reduce your visibility and conversion on that OTA. Check for an incorrect markup or a different rate plan being shown.
