Salary Slip Generator
Create a monthly payslip for hotel staff — earnings, PF, ESI, professional tax, advance and TDS, with net pay in words. Print or download.
Why give staff a salary slip every month?
A salary slip (payslip) shows an employee exactly how their pay was worked out — what they earned, what was deducted and what reached their bank account. Hotel staff need it for bank loans, rent agreements, visa applications and to check their PF and ESI. For the owner, a proper slip reduces disputes about overtime, leave and advances, and it creates a clear payroll record. This free salary slip generator makes a clean, printable payslip with net pay in words.
Earnings on a hotel payslip
- Basic + DA — the base on which PF is usually calculated.
- HRA — house rent allowance, often a share of basic.
- Other allowances — conveyance, uniform, food or special allowance.
- Overtime — extra hours paid at the rate your policy and labour laws require.
If an employee has unpaid leave, earnings can be pro-rated by paid days:
Deductions
- Provident Fund — commonly 12% of basic + DA from the employee, often on a wage ceiling of ₹15,000 for those who join below it.
- ESI — the employee share applies to employees earning up to the ESI wage limit (currently ₹21,000 a month); the tool uses 0.75% by default.
- Professional tax — set by each state, with its own slabs; some states have none. Enter the amount for your state.
- Advance recovery and TDS — enter the amounts for the month.
All these rates and limits change from time to time, so every field is editable. Verify them with your accountant or payroll advisor.
Payroll tips for small hotels
- Pay salaries by bank transfer and keep the transfer reference with the slip.
- Track attendance and overtime daily — the staff duty roster generator helps.
- Give every employee a written role — see the hotel job description generator.
- Deposit PF and ESI contributions on time; late payment attracts interest and penalties.
